Merry Christmas from Oregon!!!

First of all, I must apologize for being MIA!! I miss you guys!! It has been a crazy couple of weeks, not to mention ending it all with a ton of snow and delays getting back to Brooklyn.  I'll try to get you caught up on my life in the next couple of posts =) For now here goes a picture montage of our trip.  It went way too fast (as always) but it was filled with eating tons of food and kissing tons of babies chubby cheeks!!!  What could be any better than that????
Our trip started with one of my best friends Jamie picking us up from the airport =) I was really disappointed that she didn't have her little baby girl while we were visiting....

From the airport we drove straight to Cafe Yumm aka best food EVER to enjoy some lunch and catch up....We joked about me naming this post "Eating my way through Oregon", I must do that soon =)

Then it was off to Mcminnville to meet baby Jack for the first time!!! Every one thinks he looks like Ryan, what do you think???

Fish face!!! He smiled at me for the first time after doing this =)

Next, we were off to see my sister and baby Nora =) we also squeezed in a dentist appointment (yeah, I like to get things done)

I got to feed her, so she wanted to return the favor =)
From there we headed to Eugene to see Ryan's extended family and hangout with more kids!!!

Eliott and Alli representing New York!!!
The next day it was off to Florence to spend Christmas with my family and seeing my other adorable niece Olive, who is a hoot....

We got her a sushi set which she thought was yummy.
And this sweet little hat for Nora Faye!!

Olive likes to check out her new duds in the mirror.

My parents definitely spoiled us and there little grandgirls =)

We then headed back to Mcminnville to do Christmas with Ryan's family....It was seriously a whirlwind of a trip but was so great to see family!!! I'll add more pics as I find them on our camera.  I can't wait to share some of the fun things I got for Christmas!!! I am so blessed to have such amazing family and friends to share the holidays with. See you soon, I promise!!!!

The gift giving has begun....

Last night we got together with our good friends Joey and Jill (the couple we moved to New York with) and did our annual Christmas gift exchange.  Ryan and I were both thrilled with what they gifted us with.  Can you figure out which gift is mine and which is Ryan's??? =)

well if you guessed right...mine is the glorious hobnail pitcher on the left and I am beyond stoked to use it tomorrow night for our Christmas bash....can you say eggnog cocktail?!!???

Below are two of my all time favorite Christmas songs I thought I needed to share...the first is a rendition of Silent Night that I adore and the next is a song that makes me think of my family and how much I can't wait to spend Christmas with them.  Hope you enjoy!! 2 more days West Coast and the Rossman's are back!!!! YAY!!! Woop Woop!!!! Holla!!!!

5 of my faves Tuesdays!!!

You know how little girls always have cute and sometimes over the top  Christmas dresses? Well, this year I have been on the lookout for a little Christmas dress of my own.  My family has a Christmas tradition of always going to candle lighting service on Christmas Eve at the church we grew up going to. So I thought it would be fun to get all dolled up =) Needless to say I have found a few that I will only be wearing in my dreams because of the cost, but I have found a few little cuties that are more in my budget......

5. This sweet little number!

4. Or this beauty =)

3. I would no doubt feel festive in this!!!

2. This is so January Jones in Madmen....LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

1. This dress would make me feel like a present with that big bow =) and I love the pastel, so pleasingly different from the others =)

I'm still on the lookout...I had this dress in the checkout line at Urban till I saw it had a big tear in it and they would only give me 10% off =( Yes, I run a hard bargain!!

Any of you getting dolled up for some Holiday fun this weekend????

P.S. You can find all these dresses at ModCloth =)

Christmas is all aound me =)

Last week I got to put up our much anticipated snowflakes at work.  I ended up using newspaper and white paper to switch it up a little and I LOVE how it turned out!!! Such an easy (but a little time consuming) decorating idea.

I am thrilled to say that I am done with my Christmas shopping.....now to the packing for our trip to Oregon and planning our first hosted Christmas fondue party before we head west (not sure what we were thinking since we leave early Monday and I work the whole weekend, but I'm stoked non the less)!!!! Can't wait to see all my family and smooch on my little nieces and nephew!!!

Oh Baby!!!

I've never been a big fan of themed nurseries. I'm more excited when I see a room that has a harmony to it using the same colors...but lately I've come across so many sweet elephant things that I'm slowly warming up to a nursery centered around one thing...(if it's done right)

 How sweet are these prints??!!

and these adorable elephants, and yes they have names!!! Essie and Emmet, tooooo cute!!!

Every little kid needs a elephant bank!!

So what are your thoughts on themed nurseries???

5 of my faves Tuesdays!!!

I'm having a nice, lazy day today =) when I really should be doing laundry and cleaning up our apartment I'm laying on the coach watching movies as the dishes sit in the sink from last night...I'll get to them in a little while.  I went out yesterday to "finish" my Christmas shopping and was quickly reminded how packed Manhattan is, especially during Christmas time.  Let's just say I plan on doing the rest of my shopping online.  Right now here are 5 things I adore....

5. These sparkly acorn ornaments!!

4. This fun retro poster....I think it would be badass in Ryan's office nook since he loves video games.

So I am currently obsessed with looking at coats online....Ryan says I already have what I need and yes, that is true but a girl can dream right???? So one of you should go buy one and enjoy it for me =)

3. I love this classic yummy caramel pea coat....

2. Don't you think a fur coat would be so much fun?? I sure do!!!!

1. Isn't that collar heavenly??  I love you, why are you out of stock and sooo expensive??!!!

Someday I shall own a closet big enough to house all three of you lovely ladies...till then I'll see you in my dreams =)

Festive & Frugal Part 2

We got our tree a couple nights ago and I came to the harsh realization that all my ornaments are nestled in a box back in Oregon =( I didn't want to waste the money of getting cheap ornaments that I wouldn't love and simply toss in the trash once Christmas was over.  So I made some of my own....

Using our instax photos!!! Super easy and I think super duper cute =)

I also made a pennant garland out of paper and bakers twine....

I've come to find that Greenpoint desperately needs a craft store....I would love some fun ribbons and felt to make these even cuter...

I've decided this year to do all my wrapping with packing paper...its super cheap and I can jazz it up a little too
with some snowflakes of course!!!

Just a little something to spice up my corner =)

I'll leave you with a sneak peek of the beginnings of our Christmas cards....I'm loving how they are turning out and I mostly love how each one is different =)

I think it's time to watch Love Actually for the 3rd time this month....yes, it is Dec. 2nd I know, but I love it so....

Owl heaven....

I've mentioned before my love for owls and I just have to share these fun finds I have come across recently....get ready to fall in LOOOVE!!!!
